The Ferry Street Bridge neighborhood is close to many parks, including Eugene’s largest park; Alton Baker Park.
Ferry Street offers numerous shopping opportunities very close to residential neighborhoods. Many of these merchants are not available South of the Willamette they include:
- Trader Joes
- Nordstrom Rack
- Pottery Barn
- Valley River Center Mall (the largest in the metro area)
Oakway Center Mall is home to the City’s annual tree lighting ceremony, and hosts a summer concert series and other outdoor events.
Bordered by the Willamette River to the South and West and McKenzie River to the North, Ferry Street Bridge offers several dog parks a community gardens, and other amenities that bind neighborhoods together.
The Ferry Street Bridge tends to be more politically conservative than areas South of the Willamette River. Some of the neighborhoods in the Harlow and South Ferry Street areas are old and well established, while the Gilham and Crescent neighborhoods are newly established with their own personalities as well.
